Benefits of the Mediterranean Diet
Learn more about the benefits of the Mediterranean Diet and how it can help cancer patients from Margaret Lehman, RD, of PinnacleHealth, at the April Prostate Cancer Support and Education Group Meeting.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), formerly known as prostatism, is a common urological condition caused by the non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland in aging men.
As the prostate enlarges, it can squeeze down on the urethra. This can cause men to have trouble urinating, frequent need to urinate, urgency or other BPH symptoms. Risk factors for developing BPH include increasing age and a family history of BPH.
If you or a loved one are experiencing some of the challenges listed above, there are many options for treatment, one of which is discussed in the flyer with this post.
In November, UCPA and the Pennsylvania Prostate Cancer Coalition challenge men to celebrate NovemBEARD (NovemBEER, Movember, or No Shave November) with us at these special Prostate Cancer Awareness events!
With just two weeks left until the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk – Harrisburg, give your best efforts in fundraising and encouraging your friends, family, and others to participate in this year’s event. The event is Friday, September 21, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
We are thrilled to share that we’re expecting more participants and have raised more funds than 2017! We need your help to meet our goal of $140K in Harrisburg though. These funds are used across the country to provide education, free screenings, and support research for a cure. More than 85 cents from every dollar donated go to those goals!
Join us at the event for a moving and inspirational evening featuring musical entertainment from Cruise Control, a survivor’s story shared by Shawn Russell, refreshments, information and more!
