ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk Raises Nearly $135,000 to Fight the Disease

On Friday, September 21, more than 900 people gathered with a single purpose in mind — defeating a disease that has affected their lives. And they made a difference by raising nearly $135,000 to help fund ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer’s efforts to educate, provide free screenings, and do outreach to end the disease.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Tim Brown, MD, PhD met with men at West Shore Senior Center in Lemoyne on September 19, to discuss prostate health, prostate cancer & the importance of early detection & screening. September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and UCPA encourages all men to discuss prostate cancer screenings with their physicians. Recommendations are for men 50 and older to be screened, unless you have a family history or are of African-American descent in which case you should be screened earlier.
