When people who care come together to make a change, the impact is felt far and wide.
Over the past 11 years, Urology of Central Pennsylvania has partnered with ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer and hundreds of prostate cancer survivors, spouses, children, families, and friends to defeat prostate cancer. We have been working hard for change.
The impact has been significant. In Harrisburg alone, more than $800,000 has been raised to fight the disease through research, awareness, and education through ZERO-The End of Prostate Cancer. Our area has joined with more than 40 other communities throughout the United States in this effort and we are not finished yet.
This year’s 12th annual ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer Run/Walk Harrisburg is slated to be the best yet with nearly 1,000 attendees expected and more funds raised to find a cure for prostate cancer.
Will you join us?
The event kicks off on Friday, September 20, at the Carousel Pavilion on City Island in Harrisburg. Registration runs from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., followed by the Kid’s Dash for Dad at 5:45 p.m. The 5K Run and 1 mile walk starts at 6 p.m. followed by a celebration!
Following the Run/Walk, please stay to enjoy food, music by Jimmy Charles and his band, a prostate cancer survivor speaker, and our special recognition of prostate cancer survivors and their caregivers. It promises to be a moving event – in many ways!
