On April 10 and 11, at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, the Pennsylvania State Department of Health will present the 2019 Pennsylvania Cancer Conference: The Path Forward…Today, Tomorrow & Beyond.
The PA Department of Health will share goals of the new 2019 – 2023 Pennsylvania Cancer Control Plan along with evidence-based approaches to organizations and individuals with an interest in cancer control. The conference will address the gaps in the care continuum – from prevention, early detection, treatment, to survivorship, as well as pallative care – with the hope of reducing statewide cancer incidence and mortality and improving quality of life for cancer survivors.
In light of his experience with prostate cancer care, Dr. Scott Owens, a urologist with Urology of Central Pennsylvania, has been asked to present at the conference. Urology of Central Pennsylvania is deeply committed to prostate cancer care and accessible, responsive treatment and we are honored to have Dr. Owens share his insight from working in our practice.
