Urology of Central PA (UCPA) held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony, in conjunction with the West Shore and Harrisburg Regional Chambers of Commerce, to celebrate the opening of the first outpatient urological surgery center in the region on July 11.

The public was welcome to experience the new facility this past Saturday, July 28, as UCPA opened its doors to offer numerous free health screenings for men and their loved ones. UCPA extends its thanks to partners Penn State Health Holy Spirit, ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer, and the Prostate Cancer Coalition, for their support and participation before and during the event.

The new facility, located at 815 Sir Thomas Court, Harrisburg, was built to meet the community’s need for high-quality, convenient and cost-effective urologic care, and to provide the best possible patient experience and outcomes.

“We are excited to open the first fully-urologic outpatient surgery center of its kind in the region,” stated Kevin Smith, Practice Administrator and CFO. “UCPA began 13 years ago when 15 independent urologists decided that, by joining together, they could better serve our community. We will continue to deliver on that promise through offering patients readily-available appointment times, faster diagnoses, and quicker access to treatment.”

Since its inception in 2005, Urology of Central Pennsylvania has influenced the field of urology in our region by developing a higher standard of care at every facility they serve, providing accessible and responsive treatment, and advocating for enhanced technology.
